Syndicated

I’ve always been in love with writing. The fascination, The creativity, the excitement. It is another way to create art. Especially if you’re like me, and drawing isn’t exactly your strong suit.

And I never thought that anyone would like my writing. I wasn’t sure that anyone would want to take time and read what I have to say. So, when my Mother suggested to me, that I should start a blog, you can imagine my hesitation. I was convinced that I wouldn’t get one read. But, somehow I got more than one. It took time, but it finally happened.

I started with Blogher and then I created my own blog. When I started with Blogher, I knew that I was a tiny part of something major and so far ahead of it’s time. I knew that these women that took a chance and they stood out. For all of the right reasons. I knew that Blogher was special. And I knew that I would be blogging with them for a long, long time.

But, one thing that I never thought, was that I could be Syndicated. It was incredibly exciting! I’ve seen many people on BlogHer that write incredible work and they make it look effortless. But, I never thought that I could be on the Syndicated list. But now, I am! I am so excited to be taking my writing to the next level.

I still can’t believe that these women like what I’ve written. But, I am so honored and humbled by it. I am working on my first post now and I can’t wait to share it with you all. Here’s hoping that my writing will only get better and stronger. And here’s hoping that the Ladies of BlogHer will continue to be happy with me.

Ozwind Publishing, LLC – And my New Employer!

Hello Everyone! I have great news to share this morning!

As of yesterday, I am going to be working for a Great Lady, Tracee Ford and her new company, Ozwind Publishing, LLC!

As I’m sure that you’ve seen, I have shared her books on my blog and I have been friends with her for some time now. She is a sweet lady and a great author! I am incredibly proud of her and her will to create her own company.

One of the things that I am most proud of, is the fact that is proof of the age old phrase. “If you want something done, you’ve got to do it yourself.” She has been an author for some time now and she knows the world of publishing. She understands how frustrating it is, to have other people try to critique your vision and they don’t really understand your vision. They don’t know where you’re coming from and they don’t know the message that you’re trying to send to your audience.

Well, she decided to do something about it.

Ozwind Publishing, LLC was created by Tracee, owned by her husband, Brian. Tracee has created a home, where the authors and their work matter. Where their happiness is key and where their visions are taken seriously. She wants each author’s light to shine as bright as possible. Ozwind Publishing, LLC offers many incredible services and the costs are incredibly affordable. According to Tracee, upon editing one of her books, a publishing company wanted $4000.00 to make edits! $4000.00? That’s a lot of money, I don’t care who you are. But, Ozwind Publishing,LLC is way below the average. But, there is no payments required for sending your submissions in. This is how it works.

An Author that wants to submit their work, must submit the first three chapters to Ozwind. Then, the chapters will be read by the Acqusitions department. That is my job. I am one of the Aquistions interns. I will be one of the people that will be reading your work, helping to make edits, etc. If your work is chosen, it will reached the Desk of Tracee and from there, you could be offered a contract. Now, upon being offered a contract, you will expected to pay some costs. But, those are really affordable.

Working with Ozwind, they are not going to fill your head with empty promises. They are going to be honest with you and work with you, and help you to deliver you vision to the fullest.

If you want to find out more about Tracee and Ozwind Publishing, LLC, their website is up and running.

I am so happy to be a part of this company and I am really excited for all of the success that Ozwind Publishing, LLC, its creators, authors, editors and acquisitions department is going to enjoy!!!

#DearMe

As I’m sure many of you have heard of this new hashtag, “#DearMe”. It’s where people famous or not, are recording messages of what they’d say to their younger selves, if they could.

Well, even though I’m only 26, I wanted to share something with myself. And it’s not about years ago, it’s more about recent lessons learned. So, here goes.

#DearMe,

“Girl, let me tell you something! STOP!!! Just STOP!!!

Stop right now, what you’re doing. You’re a smarter girl than this. Look carefully, at the situation. There are guys that you like and these guys are nice guys. But, they are not right for you. Number 1, they are GROWN MEN! They are ahead of you and they have got more than a truck load of experience.  You’re not up to par. You are getting into a GAME, that you are  just simply not ready for! You can’t handle the game, the way that these women around here are playing it. Now, not all of the women plays the game this way. But, you’ve got to understand that you will look like a fool. You don’t have it, walk away NOW! Number 2, there are one too many ways you’re giving people, to make fun of you. They know that you don’t have the experience and they just might ‘rag’ on you on it. And you know you ain’t going to like it. You know that you’re going to agonize about it, all of the time. Everything that you do and they know about it, that you’re going to go overboard, worrying about it.

Third, STAY IN YOUR LANE!!!! You will get into some embarrassing situations, when you jump into out of your lane. So, when you get yourself together, you’re going to see some amazing things. You’re going to go far. Now, you’re going to deal with difficulties, but you’re going to be a better woman. You’re going to be smarter. And don’t worry about not having friends. Don’t worry about no having male attention. You tell yourself that you’re beautiful and let that be your encouragement. Just continue to do what you instincts and heart tells you. But, don’t forget about your mind. Don’t let your mind get caught up, in ill-fitting thoughts. Whenever you feel those thoughts coming in, just change your mind. And if it’s not your mind, then change your surroundings. Sometimes, you’ve got to get out of that zone and work on being that better self, that you’re meant to be. This may be a long letter. But, V, you needed you know this. I adore you, Girl! No matter whether tells you this or don’t ever share these opinions, You are a great girl. Keep working hard and chasing your dreams. And once you’ve ran them down, Conquer them! Trust me, it gets better from here.

Love,

The Falling Series: Falling to Pieces by L.T. Kelly

Hello everybody! I hope that all of you had an excellent Easter!

I am so happy to be getting back to one of the things that I love to do. And that is to feature authors and books on my blog. To that end, I am happy to present to some and to introduce to others, L.T. Kelly and her books in, “The Falling Series”.

L.T. Kelly was born and raised in Solihull, U.K. Her love of writing began in her school days. Where she would receive encouragement from her teachers, based upon the short stories that she loved writing. She joined the Army at the age of Seventeen. Unfortunately, her job caused her to make a sacrifice,  and that was to put her writing on the back burner. However, after making this sacrifice, she realized that her passions was still with writing and she returned to writing short stories. Thanks to a suggestion from a good friend, saying that she should write a novel, She began taking her love for writing to another level. Now, she lives with her Husband and two children in Lincolnshire, U.K.

Falling to pieces is a story about a young woman named Teagan Lewis, a former resident of rural Montana, is now a new resident of London with her maker, Thomas. She was completely unaware that she had a heart or a soul until she met Marc Romano. Much to her chagrin, it becomes clear that Marc is the ‘Forbidden Fruit’. Every sign that could show that he’s not human, was there. But, she chose to ignore it.

Does she end regretting this decision? Is this the end of Teagan? Or can she show him a new side of himself?

This book, has a lot of twists and turns. Sure to impress and to keep you guessing. If you want to find out more about these books, just click on the picture above and you can purchase this book on Amazon.

Enjoy it, Book lovers and Happy Reading!

Inspired to Blog

Sometimes after blogging for a while, you’ll look at your blog and see how far you’ve come. And when you do, you hope to see progress and improvement. You hope that the blogger you started as, has grown and developed into a better, more informed blogger. You take time and read other blogs. You look at the designs and you look at the layout. Then, from time to time, you will come back to your own blog and sometimes, you tend to be a little more critical about your work.

You look at your page and then you start to critique everything. From the photos, (Or in the case of my blog, lack of photos), to the content. You look at what you do during the day. There will be times, when I look at my content and think to myself, ‘Man, I really need to get out more!’ That way, I’ll have more to blog about.

But, then I have to be grateful for what I’ve learned and how much I’ve blogged so far. I know for a fact, that there’s more to do and learn. But, I also know that the progress that has been made is something that I must continue on. I have to keep the movement, going forward.

I am very excited about my blog and I am very happy that more people are coming to check out my blog. And blogging about books! What an exciting venture! Books are by far, one of my favorite things. And to couple it with blogging, is just amazing!

I think that this one of the most daunting tasks that I’ve ever done, creating something that is going international! I can’t believe that this blog has reached different countries. That people have taken time out, to read my work. Now, that I know that, I am eager to take things to the next level.

In the coming weeks, I am going to be featuring great books, authors and blogs. I am really thrilled to introduce these to some, and present them to others. I hope that you’ll be coming back and checking out what’s happening here. I hope that you’ll be pleased and will share it with your friends and fellow bloggers.

I love you all and I appreciate each one of you! ❤  🙂
